VISION
To guarantee security, order, pride and peace of mind for all Zimbabweans.
MISSION STATEMENT
To undertake the country's internal security – related responsibilities involving maintenance of law and order, control of entry and exit of people, issuance of personal documents and to preserve national and historic documents and heritage.
Head office regulates and co-ordinate activities of four departments, one parastatal and two statutory boards. These are the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Registrar General, Immigration, National Achieves of Zimbabwe, National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe, Board of Censors, and the Lotteries and Gaming Board. At the Ministry's Head office are the Minister, deputy Minister and the Permanent Secretary's Offices. There are also three sections namely, Administration and Finance, Policy and Legislation and Human Resources.

Head Office also regulates and issue, security guards/Private Investigators Licences, Copper Licences, Pawn Broking Licences, Smelting Pot Licences and Commissioners of Oaths/Justice of the Peace certificates. Censorship of audio, video and periodical material is done by the Censorship Board. Casino, bookmakers and State Lotteries Licenses are processed by the Lotteries and Gaming Board ,who are currently operating from Head office.
Head Office also attends to complaints against the operations of departments, Parastatal and statutory Boards. |
