MISSION

To manage the Ministry’s public financial resources and provide administrative support services to the seven departments of the Ministry.

SERVICES OFFERED

FINANCIAL

  • Collection of revenue for services rendered by departments at Head Office.
  • Consolidation of revenue collected by departments.
  • Debt collection
  • Provision of financial and material resources for the daily operations of  the Ministry.
  • Submission of returns required by Treasury.

 

ASSET MANAGEMENT

The department:-

  • Monitors assets and inventories of the Ministry
  • Supervises compilation of assets register.
  • Conducts boards of survey for disposal of redundant assets.

TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

The department:-

  • Provides vehicles to Human Resources, Audit, Policy and Research departments
  • Initiates requests for additional vehicles
  • Advises on resolution of transport queries

 

RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

  • Provides Records management to the Finance and Administration, Audit, Human Resources, Policy and Research departments.
  • Formulates, implements and reviews effective Records management policies, systems and procedures.

 

PROCUREMENT

The department procures material resources and services for Head Office departments in terms of State Procurement Board Procedures.

OFFICE ACCOMMODATION

The department:-

  • Liaises with Ministry of Local Government on office and residential accommodation for the Ministry,
  • Maintains an inventory of government houses
  • Enforces reparation and damages to government houses
